 Located just North of US Hwy 2 between Ironwood and Bessemer in Big Snow Country of Michigan’s Western Upper Peninsula, WALDHEIN is the green and yellow CHALET at Creekside Trail on Powderhorn Road on your way to the main lodge of Big Powderhorn Mountain.  Our winding driveway accesses both roads

so parking is ample for multi vehicles.

We’re minutes from Blackjack and close to Indianhead Mountains for boarding and downhill skiing variety.

For your Big Powderhorn Mountain experiences, you can walk to Lift #1 (about 1200 ft) and ski or board over, drive or you can take the shuttle during snow season to the Gun Barrel Lodge or any of the other bars/restaurants in the Mountain area.

You have ride in/ride out access (leave your trailers in our driveway) to
SNOWMOBILE & ATV TRAIL # 2.

CC skiers can pole across the road for local Nordic and are in close proximity to the 26 Km Wolverine Nordic Cross Country Ski & Mountain Bike Trails.

WALDHEIN is a two level CHALET with front decks on the main and upper levels and a side deck with charcoal grill on the main level.

It has three bedrooms (1Queen, 2 Full size beds) and a balcony bedroom (with 2 Twin size beds), two baths (one on each level), and a full kitchen. Linens and most bath necessities are provided. You can enjoy Smart TV & WiFi, DVD and CD Stereo in the cozy atmosphere that the wood burning fireplace will help provide.
